Every Disney hotel transports you somewhere magical. From the African wilderness to the Polynesian islands, if you’re looking for true escapism, it doesn’t get much better than a Disney hotel. Their newest offering, Disney’s Riviera Resort, whisks guests away to the pristine, palm-lined Italian and French Rivieras.
First opened in December 2019, the resort is inspired by the favorite vacation spots of Walt himself. Perfect for the discerning adults amongst you who are looking to enjoy the Disney experience just as much as the kids.
Here are 5 reasons you need to book into Disney’s Riviera Resort:
1. Rooms for two… or for more of you!

Just two of you? Perfect.
Book an efficiently designed Tower Studio. At 220 square feet, it’s the smallest hotel room in Disney World but still feels spacious. The living room converts into a bedroom with a pull-down queen-size bed to replace the couch.
Bringing the whole gang? They’ve got you covered.
The luxurious two-bedroom villa sleeps nine. Hidden reading lights and dreamy Mickey-at-the-Riviera backdrop make it magical for the kids; parents will love the washer and dryer and full kitchen.
2. Location, Location, Location

Looking for an ideal location? The Disney Skyliner gondola connects the Hollywood Studios and Epcot straight to the Riviera, in less than 15 minutes.
With the theme parks so close you can catch their fireworks displays from your balcony.
Alternatively, you could watch them from the Riviera’s rooftop bar… with a glass of Champagne, obviously.
3. Bon Appétit! Food for all the family.
Topolino’s Terrace is the hot table. It mixes French and Italian cuisines for a fine-dining experience with views to match.
For a breakfast with a difference, try Topolino’s classy character breakfast. You’ll find Mickey decked out as a painter (mais oui!).
Looking for somewhere more casual? Primo Piatto’s your place. Offering Croque Monsieurs and Niçoise salads, you can eat outside on porch swings or take back to your room.
4. Fun for everyone, without going out
If you’ve booked a day in to relax (and you should), you’ll find plenty to do!
Little ones can spend hours at S’il Vous Play, a Fantasia-themed splash area complete with slides and water cannons.
For adults, there are two larger pools. The Beau Soleil pool even offers a pair of hot tubs.
Want some outdoor activities? You can play life-size chess or bocce ball on the great lawn. Plus there are outdoor movies in the evening.
5. It’s a visual wonderland…
Art abounds.
Vivid mosaic murals from Tangled and Peter Pan await at the entrance of the themed Skyliner cabins. Watercolor princess castles line the halls.
Keep an eye out for the paintings sprinkled throughout the property. Mickey & Friends make their way into reimagined Van Goghs, Monets, Cézannes, and more. (A can-canning Minnie Mouse in Toulouse-Lautrec’s Moulin Rouge: La Goulue is especially clever.)
You can even buy your own prints to take home. Visit the Art on Demand kiosk, located in La Boutique, for a more tasteful souvenir than a Goofy ball cap.
