As the world continues to reopen, we’re ready to help you start adding stamps to your passport again. This fall, we announced that we’re adding 10 new flights and five new destinations in Europe and the Middle East—the largest transatlantic expansion in our history.
Starting in the spring, we’ll fly nonstop to Amman, Jordan; Azores, Portugal; Bergen, Norway; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; and Tenerife in the Spanish Canary Islands. Fun fact: No other North American airline serves these destinations. Additionally, we’re adding more flights to five popular European cities: Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Munich, and Rome. (Flights are subject to government approval.)
“Given our big expectations for a rebound in travel to Europe for summer, this is the right time to leverage our leading global network in new, exciting ways,” says Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of International Network and Alliances. “Our expansion offers the widest range of destinations to discover, introducing new, trendy locales that our customers will love, as well as adding more flights to iconic cities.”
In 2022, we’re also starting new routes that were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including non-stop service between Chicago O’Hare and Zurich, Switzerland; New York/Newark and Nice, France; and San Francisco and Bangalore, India.
Whether it’s the Dead Sea in Jordan or the black-and-white-sand beaches of the Canary Islands, we’re excited to see the places you explore next year with our new routes. Book your flight now on united.com or the United app, and when the time comes to travel, tag #MyUnitedJourney and #Hemigram on social media so we can follow along.
