After a year that saw cancellations of parades and festivals across the country, the world’s biggest and most exuberant celebration of LGBTQ+ rights is back, with Pride 2021 promising a summer-long spectacle to remember. This year, Zenni will celebrate in style by donating a portion of the proceeds from its Pride Collection to the It Gets Better Project, a charity empowering LGBTQ+ youth.
Zenni first launched its limited-edition rainbow frames back in 2018 to recognize and appreciate the diversity of its customers, employees and global communities, and this year’s Pride collection is its largest ever. The 2021 release includes eight pairs of rainbow frames, two new cases, and a rainbow lens cloth, while one of Zenni’s most popular styles has been adapted for children so that the entire family can show their support.
“We’ve grown close to the It Gets Better Project over the years and couldn’t be more excited to continue to help them further their mission to uplift, empower and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth around the globe,” says Zenni in a statement. A nonprofit organization, the It Gets Better Project launched in 2010, and this year will host its second annual Digital Pride Experience on June 23 and 24 on YouTube. The two-day free event offers LGBTQ+ youth the chance to celebrate Pride 2021 from wherever they are in the world.
