Families visiting Orlando often book a “day off” from riding Space Mountain and visiting Diagon Alley to simply relax at the hotel. There’s so much going on at the new Evermore Orlando Resort, though, that guests might need to spend their day off at the parks. Just a 15-minute drive from the Magic Kingdom, the 1,100-acre property caters to families and large groups with villas, flats, and houses ranging from two to 11 bedrooms. (The new 433-room Conrad Orlando is also on site.) Here are four reasons to check-in.
Hit the Beach
Wish Orlando were on the water? Here, it kind of is. The resort’s centerpiece is Evermore Bay, a gorgeous artificial lagoon surrounded by 20 acres of white-sand beaches. Explore the lagoon on a stand-up paddleboard or in a kayak, soar down the four-person waterslide, or leap from the rope swing into the water. Little ones will love playing in the sand or riding on a starfish floatie, while parents might prefer lounging in a hammock or sipping mojitos in a private overwater cabana.
Spread Out
Evermore combines the convenience of a vacation rental (bedrooms for everyone!) with the trappings of a luxury resort. The contemporary four-bedroom, four-bathroom flats bordering the lagoon are smartly designed, with open-plan kitchens and living areas and balconies that offer views of the nightly Disney fireworks. If you’re bringing the whole gang, opt for one of the spacious houses. (The 11-bedroom ones sleep 32!) Each comes with a private saltwater pool, and some even have home theaters.
Feed the Crew
It can be tough to please everyone in a group at mealtime, but Evermore succeeds. The Food Hall at The Landing serves burgers, poke bowls, margarita pizzas, and more. (There’s also a well-stocked market if you’d rather prep lunch yourself.) The fine-dining restaurant, Twin View, is open for every meal; at dinner, feast on cacio e pepe or braised short ribs. Guests can also dine at the Conrad’s restaurants: Sophia’s Trattoria for pork ragu and duck confit pizza, Ceiba for guacamole and quesabirria tacos, and Papaya Club for tiki drinks.
Get Sporty
Golfers will want to reserve tee times at the two Jack Nicklaus–designed 18-hole courses. Pickleball tournaments and beach volleyball are other outdoor options, while those seeking a break from the sun can play shuffleboard and ping-pong inside The Landing. There’s also a Peloton studio and daily workout classes, including Lightsaber Fitness, so you can perfect your Jedi skills before your “day off” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
