Happy New Year! This is going to be a very exciting year at United. Last year, we unveiled our United Next strategy, which included our new and improved aircraft, an increased number of destinations, and an all-around larger fleet. This plan will allow us to truly raise the bar for United and provide you with a game-changing customer experience unlike anything before.
As a result, this year we are delivering a completely differentiated product to further help us become the biggest and best airline in aviation history. To do that, we are focused on ensuring we have the best facilities, aircraft, and schedules—especially at our seven hubs.
Our hubs in Chicago, Denver, Washington, D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, and San Francisco are strategically mapped to provide you with a gateway to the world. This makes United the airline of choice for so many of our customers. Each hub is unique in its ability to adapt to meet the needs of our customers and get them where they want to go—even to new and emerging destinations.
At United, we spend a lot of time trying to understand where our customers want to go next—often before they even know it themselves. That’s why this summer we will begin a whole new adventure for United, with our new routes to Amman, Jordan; Bergen, Norway; Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain; Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal; and Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
To make it even easier to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, we’re also adding flights to five popular European cities—Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Munich, and Rome—further leveraging our leading global network in new and exciting ways.
This is just the beginning of our United Next plan. Our purpose of “Connecting People. Uniting the World.” drives us to create a more connected global community, and that’s exactly what we will continue to do this year by combining our friendly, helpful service with the best experience in the sky, all across our premier global network.
We look forward to taking you on this journey with us to even more of the destinations you’ve always dreamed of visiting.
Sincerely,
Andrew Nocella
