The airline’s new partnership with Emirates connects fliers to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond
Go on the ultimate adventure when you explore the desert metropolis of Dubai, where sprawling sand hills meet a sparkling city skyline, and beachfront bungalows look out over crystal blue waters. Dubai has once-in-a-lifetime experiences around every corner, whether you want to go on a camelback safari or enjoy world-class shopping and dining. Even better, you can now earn MileagePlus® miles while flying United nonstop to Dubai (DXB) from Newark/New York (EWR), while also enjoying more connectivity to the rest of the world.
United is now the only U.S. airline offering nonstop flights to Dubai. We have partnered with Emirates and its sister airline, flydubai, to make flying to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and connecting to more than 100 destinations throughout the rest of the world easier. You can book your trip to Dubai and beyond on the same ticket through United’s website or app, streamlining the check-in and baggage transfer process. Plus, you’ll fly in style to Dubai on our 777-200ER aircraft, which features 50 United Polaris® business-class lie-flat seats, 24 United Premium PlusSM seats, 46 Economy PlusSM seats, and 156 United Economy® seats.
MileagePlus members traveling on United between Newark and Dubai can redeem miles on select Emirates and flydubai flights, as well as earn award miles when connecting onto Emirates or flydubai flights on select routes between Dubai and South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa on the same ticket. For example, travelers will be able to visit united.com or use the United app to book a flight from EWR to Karachi, Pakistan (KHI), or visit emirates.com to book a flight from Dubai to Atlanta (ATL) or Honolulu (HNL).
Emirates Skywards members can also earn miles when they travel on United-operated flights, and eligible United customers will have access to Emirates lounges when connecting to and from United’s new Dubai flight. And Emirates customers will have access to nearly 200 U.S. cities when they fly into three of United’s major hubs: Chicago (ORD), San Francisco (SFO), and Houston (IAH).
“United’s new flight to Dubai and our complementary networks will make global travel easier for millions of our customers, helping boost local economies and strengthen cultural ties,” says United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby. “This is a proud moment for both United and Emirates employees, and I look forward to our journey together.”
