As United’s Chief Commercial Officer, I know you have many choices when it comes to selecting an airline—that’s why we are so glad you choose to fly with United. This past year has been revolutionary for United, as we’ve further leveraged our industry-leading global network in new and exciting ways and firmly cemented our place as the flagship carrier of the United States.
Now, more than ever, our hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., are all providing our MileagePlus members and loyal customers with a true gateway to the world—seamlessly taking you to your favorite destinations, as well as places you’ve always dreamed of visiting.
At United, our story is defined by four simple words: “Good Leads the Way.” It drives each and every decision we make and is one of the reasons we continue to be a leading global airline. As we enter the holiday season, we are reminded just how important it is to continue to do the right thing; this is especially true when it comes to your airport and onboard experience.
In the next few months, you may experience some of our recent customer investments across our network, including an updated Bistro on Board menu that features The Impossible Breakfast Sandwich and Blackberry White Claw; AWAY amenity kits for premium cabins on international flights; and even locally inspired dishes on our new and improved San Francisco to Brisbane, Australia, menu.
We know summer may seem far away, but we’re already planning ahead to give you the widest range of travel destinations and the most convenient travel options possible. This is, in part, because we saw historic levels of demand for travel to Europe this past summer, and we expect that trend to continue in 2023.
As we look ahead to summer 2023, we’re more optimistic than ever that our growing route map is perfectly positioned to get you where you want to go, because we remain committed to maintaining vital links across the globe while also adding new destinations to discover.
We were thrilled to recently announce flights to Malaga, Spain, and Dubai; a return to Stockholm, Sweden; and five more flights to some of the most popular destinations in Europe: Rome, Paris, Barcelona, London, and Berlin. In total, United will fly to 38 cities in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East next summer, more than the other U.S. airlines combined—further proving why we are the #1 carrier across the Atlantic.
From everyone at United, thank you for choosing to fly with us today, and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season. We are committed to continuing our investment in the customer experience and can’t wait to take you to even more of our incredible destinations in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Andrew Nocella
