This year, we’re giving you plenty of reasons to get excited about traveling. You’ll find more improvements, destinations, and travel options when you plan a trip with us.
Last year, we laid the groundwork to transform your travel experience with our United Next plan, which includes adding 270 Boeing and Airbus aircraft and creating a new signature aircraft interior. This year, you’ll begin to see our vision take effect. We plan to add 40 new narrow-body aircraft to our fleet in 2022, and we’ll also start upgrading our existing aircraft cabins. Explore how we’re taking our fleet to new heights at united.com/meetthefleet.
When you begin to plan your spring break or summer getaway, you’ll be able to choose from exciting destinations that no other North American airline serves. Discover the historical sites of Jordan with our nonstop flight between Washington Dulles and Amman, or relax on the stunning black-and-white sand beaches of the Canary Islands with our non-stop flight between New York/Newark and Tenerife. We’re also adding Azores, Portugal; Bergen, Norway; and Mallorca, Spain, to our growing list of destinations.
To make it even easier to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, we’re adding flights to five popular European cities: Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Munich, and Rome. Visit united.com to discover where in the world you can travel this year. International flights are subject to government approval.
In addition to more destinations, you’ll have more options when you book travel. Gone are the group texts and endless email chains trying to decide where to go. Our new Trip Planner tool on the United app puts all this information in a single link to share with others to view, vote, and fly. You can view flights and send up to three trip options straight to your loved ones through a direct link. Those who receive the link can vote on the flight that works best for them. Once everyone votes, you can book directly from the link and begin your travel adventures together.
Looking to book on a budget? You can now use a combination of money and miles to pay for a flight—simply select Money + Miles as your payment method, choose how many miles you want to use, then cover the rest of the cost with money. And when the time comes to travel, you can change your plans without a fee for most economy and premium cabin tickets for flights within the U.S., or between the U.S. and Mexico or the Caribbean.
We’re excited for you to see these enhancements—and more—firsthand. Follow @united and @hemispheresmag on social media or visit united.com for the latest news about how we’re transforming your experience in 2022 and beyond.
