Whether you’re a frequent United traveler or flying for the first time, the United app has features you might not know about. For instance, the app’s new “My United” section, which launched earlier this summer, will make your trips more straightforward than ever.
With the latest version of the app, you can:
Easily find your United MileagePlus® and travel information.
If you’re looking for your account number or your progress toward Premier® status, all that information is in one spot. Don’t have a Mileage-Plus account? All of your travel details are still in the My United section.
Save your forms of payment for hassle-free shopping.
It’s no fun to dig through your purse or wallet when you’re ready to book a trip, so store your preferred credit cards directly in the app. Additionally, all onboard food purchases on United flights are now touchless transactions, meaning flight attendants no longer accept physical credit cards—so you’ll want to add a form of payment as soon as you can.
Access our Travel-Ready Center.
You can see the COVID-19 testing requirements and travel restrictions that apply to your upcoming trip, and you’ll be able to schedule a COVID-19 test or upload test results, if needed.
See receipts from all of your onboard purchases.
Maybe you need to expense that onboard glass of white wine or Tapas snackbox? Or perhaps you want to track your vacation dining budget? Either way, your receipts are easily accessible in the app.
Update your personal details on the go.
It’s a pain when you book a flight, only to realize that you didn’t add your Known Traveler Number or that you listed your old cell phone number to receive travel notifications. We know (from personal experience) that you sometimes don’t realize your mistake until you’ve already arrived at the airport, so you can now make updates straight from your device.
If you already have the United app, make sure you update to the latest version, and if you don’t have the app yet, it’s worth downloading. You may need to wait until landing, unless you’ve purchased Wi-Fi, but once you have the app, many features work for free on United flights. App-y travels!
